Everton to wear last season's white third strip for Crystal Palace match

Everton have been told to wear their white third kit from last season against Crystal Palace on Saturday due to fears of a kit clash.

The Toffees open the 2019/20 Premier League season with a trip to Selhurst Park, and had planned to don their new coral and navy second strip for the occasion.

However, officials raised concerns that it clashed with the Eagles' blue-and-red home outfit.

With Everton not unveiling their new away kit until Friday August 23, this meant that the strip used last season has been recalled back into service.

No matter the kit, it is also likely that £25million new signing Alex Iwobi will miss the match after his deadline day move from Arsenal.

The winger was the last of seven new arrivals through the door for Marco Silva's side this summer.

He joins keeper Jonas Lossl, defender Djibril Sidibe, midfielders Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin and striker Moise Kean at the club.
