Extra-time scrapped for Coppa Italia as games going straight to penalties

Extra-time has been scrapped for the remainder of this season’s Coppa Italia, with ties going straight to penalties.

It was announced this afternoon that Lega Serie A had modified the rules, which will apply to just the 2019-20 campaign.

Therefore, the second legs of the semi-finals – Juventus-Milan and Napoli-Inter – and the Final will be settled in normal time or by penalty shootout.

The semi-finals conclude on Friday and Saturday at 20:00 BST, followed by the Final next Wednesday.
