Atletico wonderkid Joao Felix was very happy after scoring his first UCL goal in his side's 2-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow.
He wrote on his Instagram: “First goal in the Champions League and very happy for the 3 points!!”
The Portuguese talent has already contributed 3 goals and an assist in his first nine games for Atletico.

I mean Felix only played half a season for Benfica of course there was a place for skepticism especially with his price tag of course anyone that saw him knew he was talented but there's still doubt especially with so little experience to his name.

Felix must have been in Fifa or FM. But I havent heard of him prior to last season

Felix wasn’t known to the bigger football world but he was really incredibly highly rated by scouts and the like. I’d compare him at 16 to players like Gouiri, Cherki, Unuvar today, still far from their debuts but with massive hype behind them

he was the most hyped youngster in Portugal

now Felix needs to keep up for the next years and then he will be among the best.

FM scouts (usually pretty reliable) have been rating Felix very high for the past couple of years.

Felix did an amazing season in UEFA Youth cup, which put him on every scout's radar. Even scored 2 against Real. And the 6 months were enough to show he did a good transition into top tier and held the pressure. He lead the team to the title.

Felix was the youngest player ever to play at Benfica B at 16 years old. That's probably why the age. Altought scouts prefered Jota at younger ages to him.

Wasn’t this exactly like his first goal for Atletico ?

Idk why Felix reminds me of Derrick Rose from basketball but he just does. Not in looks obviously but in this relentless talent that just explodes at any point in a game.

There's another one in Benfica squad that was always touted as the next big thing but hasn't quite "matured" as quickly as Felix. He's more of a pure winger. Lots of flash but pretty wasteful and inconsistent imo

Lead the team is a bit of a stretch, Felix was like top 4 in the team. But the fact that he played against Porto, Sporting and Frankfurt like he was at a training session in terms of pressure was where you could tell he was already something special and ready for the biggest stages.

Felix scored a very similar goal for us but his first was an header against Sporting to draw the game at Estádio da Luz.
