Figo, Ozil, Modric, Sneijder... Which Madrid No.10 is your favourite?

  /  arrowhead

Not only No.7s, but Madrid also have some great No.10 players, who is your favourite?

Clarence Seedorf: (1996-1999)

Although Seedorf wasn't a 'classic' 10, his explosiveness, strength, power and eye for goal meant that he was still a success.

Luis Figo: (2000-2005)

The Portuguese arrived in Madrid under a massive cloud of controversy following his move from Barcelona, where he remains a figure of hate to this day.

He went through some difficult early moments at the Bernabeu, the proof of which can be found in the famous photo of his presentation. However, Figo soon settled and when he eventually left Real after five years, he did so as an idol to the support, becoming a legendary No.10.

Wesley Sneijder: (2007-2009)

Sneijder arrived in Madrid in 2007 as part of the great Dutch revolution which also saw Rafael van der Vaart, Arjen Robben, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Royston Drenthe all join.

Mesut Ozil: (2010-2014)

After the 2010 World Cup, the German was one of the most sought after players on the market, having shown his quality throughout the tournament in South Africa. Real moved quickly to sign him for a bargain price.

James Rodriguez: (2014-2017)

The Colombian is another man who has helped to cement the legend of the No.10, also arriving after being one of the World Cup's star men, as Ozil had four years previously.

He demonstrated his quality and ability on arrival in Madrid but it wasn't enough for him as his time at the club coincided with one of the most talented squads in Real history.

Currently No.10 Luka Modric
