Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has received a good luck message from wife Larissa Pereira as he prepares to fire the Reds into the Champions League knockout stages.

Firmino is expected to start for Jurgen Klopp's side in their must-win match against Napoli at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the game though, the Brazilian's wife Larissa sent him a good luck message alongside a family photo in front of their Christmas tree.

The photo showed Firmino lying on the floor of a room in their home with his wife and daughters - Bella and Valentina - lying on top of him. The caption alongside the photo read: 'Strong daddy. Good luck today. We LoveYou.'

The couple married in a lavish ceremony in Maceio - capital city of the northern state of Alagoa - in June 2017.

Firmino, who has six goals in 22 appearances this season, played 81 minutes in Liverpool's 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Attention now turns to continental competition though where a dramatic night is in store for Liverpool fans as Klopp's team look to progress.

Liverpool must beat Napoli to have any chance of reaching the knockout stages. They will qualify if they win 1-0 or by two or more goals.

A victory by any other scoreline would see Liverpool having to rely on Paris Saint-Germain failing to win at Red Star Belgrade.

If Liverpool win by any scoreline and PSG draw, those teams and Napoli will all have nine points.

In that scenario, Liverpool’s superior head-to-head record against Napoli and PSG would see them finish top.
