The iconic shot of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard touching the "This is Anfield" sign one final time has been one of the most cherished memories of Liverpool fans.
On May 16th, 2015, Gerrard played his last game at Anfield. After his farewell ceremony, Liverpool captian touched the "This is Anfield" sign when walking down the tunnel.
Taken by LFC's official photographer, John Powell, it captures the moment the captain made his way down the tunnel steps and out onto the pitch for his last ever home game for the Reds. It was a photo used worldwide to encapsulate the emotion of the occasion.

I remember I watched that game, that was the first season I started watching football which was sadly the last season Gerard played before leaving....despite being a United fan, he was a joy to watch, one of the best midfielders of all time
