Former reality star who left Ex-Man Utd husband Wes Brown year before bankruptcy

Leanne Brown first rose to fame as one of the original cast members of Real Housewives of Cheshire back in 2015.

During her time on the show, she was involved in a number of dramatic and explosive story lines, many of which revolved around her feud with fellow OG housewife Dawn Ward.

The reality star is also known for her 25-year-long relationship with ex-Manchester United player Wes Brown.

The former Manchester United defender recently opened up for the first time since being declared bankrupt about his recent struggles on the Ben Heath podcast.

Wes and Leanne first met in Manchester over 20 years ago when she was training as a beautician and he was a part of the Man United squad.

The pair were together for 25 years, 12 of which the couple were married for.

The two married back in 2009 before 'secretly splitting' in 2021 and confirming their separation in 2022.

Wes, 44 and Leanne, 47 share three daughters together Halle, Lilia and Lola.

In early 2023 the former England and Man United player was declared bankrupt at the High Court after HMRC filed a bankruptcy petition against the ex-defender.

Wes earned £50,000 a week during his time at Old Trafford but inevitably declared bankruptcy in 2023.

Speaking to the Sun in 2023 on Wes' financial situation which directly effect her Leanne said...

'People have this perception of your life because your husband plays football and you have all this money coming in but people have no idea where that money's going.

'They have no idea of what's going on behind close doors, where you're investing that money, who relies on you to provide for them and who's taking advantage of you because that's exactly what happened with us.

'There was such a struggle going on there for many years with us but nobody would be aware of that.'

'With the market crashing as well, we had properties and then the market crashed, we couldn't get rid of anything, like, huge properties.

'We were just advised very badly for the benefit of the people that were advising and taken advantage of a lot.

'But, where I am now, we have to take responsibility for that, we allowed that to happen, we allowed the control of somebody else to take control of our finances too much in the sense that we should have been more aware, we should have been more on top of it.'

Brown is currently living her life as a single mum of three.
