Fulham goalkeeping coach Jose Sambade Carreira has left the club just two games into their Premier League return.
Sportsmail understands the club's first-team keepers were informed about Carreira's departure on Wednesday, though the decision was made earlier. The coach did not take training on Thursday.
There was no confirmation from the club about the circumstances behind Carreira's shock decision to leave Craven Cottage.
Though, Sportsmail understands teething problems in the goalkeeping position since the arrival of Spaniard's Sergio Rico and Fabri during the transfer window may have been a contributing factor.
It is claimed the pair's difficulty with the English language has proved a considerable problem for Slavisa Jokanovic's side in recent weeks.
Rico, signed on loan from Sevilla, arrived with a big reputation but is yet to start a game for the club.
On the training field, it is understood, Rico has found difficulty in communicating with his team-mates due to his lack of English.
Calum Chambers, Joe Bryan, Cyrus Christie and Dutchman Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who have all started in the back four so far this season, communicate in English.
Fabri, who has started both games, speaks marginally better English than Rico.
But Craven Cottage sources claim members of the coaching staff are not convinced that Fabri, who was signed from Besiktas, can be the club's long-term No 1.
Carreira is understood to have recommended Fabri to the club, having worked with him at Besiktas.
Fulham's third keeper is Marcus Bettinelli, who played a vital role in the club's promotion into the top-flight via the play offs last season.
But the former England Under-21 keeper has been pushed down the pecking order since the arrival of Rico and Fabri.
