The Steven Gerrard era at Aston Villa has begun after their newly-appointed manager held his first training session on Monday.
The 41-year-old seemed at ease in his new surroundings as he appeared in a relaxed manner before quickly imposing his philosophy on the Premier League outfit.
With some of his first-team stars away on international duty, Gerrard got to look at the quality of others at their Bodymoor Heath training base such as Ollie Watkins, Ashley Young and on loan Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe.
Accompanying Gerrard during the session was his assistant manager Gary McAllister.
It's been a whirlwind few days for Gerrard who as of last week was in charge of Rangers.
The Liverpool legend left the Scottish giants on Thursday to sign a three-and-a-half-year deal with Villa.
The former England midfielder replaces Dean Smith who was sacked as Villa boss on November 7 after suffering five-straight defeats. His first game in charge will be at home to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.
Speaking in his first interview as Villa boss, Gerrard insists that he will have no divided loyalties when he takes his new team to face former club Liverpool next month.
The testing clash will be his fifth at the helm at Villa Park, and Gerrard has been quick to reveal to supporters and his players that his focus is firmly on achieving success at the expense of his old team.
Questioned on the build-up to his return by VillaTV, Gerrard, 41, said: 'I don't think me or anyone else will be able to control the noise. For me, that's not important.
'What is important is the chance to go to Anfield and win, to take maximum points, which is the attitude and mentality we have going into every game. It is what it is.
'I want to win every game. My priority and focus, and everything I will give on a daily basis, will be for Aston Villa. One thing I can guarantee the supporters, the players and the staff here is that when I commit to something, I'm all in.'

a legend of what does a ever won the premier League to be a legend
Without him Liverpoolians wouldn't have had a UCL to showcase for. Without him, they would have been easily a bottom feeders club. Steven Gerrard was the only one who kept Liverpool falling into abyss. Captain fantastic. I hate him as a rival but respect him as a player. Something is more important than titles, Honor and loyalty. He received tons of offers from Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, etc. Yet he stayed at Liverpool risking the lack of trophies in his resume for the faith of the fans and it's people. Have some respect for a Legend like him. No player in Liverpool has yet achieved the name to be kept alongside Steven Gerrard.
