Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has revealed that he's been advising Tammy Abraham to 'practice more and more' in order to realise his potential.
Giroud believes the best is yet to come from the England Under-21 forward, who is set to feature regularly for the Blues this season under the stewardship of club legend Frank Lampard.
Speaking exclusively with talkSPORT, he said: “I have been talking with Tammy a lot.
“My main role is to look after these young players like Tammy and try and help them to improve.
“When you're a striker and you miss some chances or you miss a penalty, you must carry on and make sure you never give up.
“This is one of the best values you can have as a striker. Tammy has got the quality and talent, he just needs to practice more and more. I keep telling him this.”
He continued: “I have been doing that [practising] all my career and I still do. Even at 32 I believe I can still can get better and improve as a player.
“I believe Tammy can get to a very good level. He is listening to the advice that is being given to him, and he knows how important it is for him to make the most of this opportunity he has and make the step up.”
Abraham, 21, was a big hit on loan at Aston Villa last season – scoring 25 goals as they secured promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs – but he has struggled since his return to Stamford Bridge.
Abraham missed the decisive penalty in Chelsea's UEFA Super Cup final defeat against Liverpool last week, with the frontman targeted by Twitter trolls in the form of racial abuse and death threats after the game.

At 21, he has already scored 60 career goals in official matches as a professional footballer. scored between Bristol, Swansea and Aston Villa in three seasons. He scored 8 of this goals at the top level with Swansea and the rest in the English championship. So far, he has been playing great in his two or three games this season, I'm impressed by his direct run to the box, his ball control, his team play, I mean his all round performance. Yes, he should put the ball into the net but not just for him the goals hasn't come but for Chelsea as a team. other players are missing chances too. its just three games, please stop criticizing him wrongly. Embrace this lad, he's incredible.
