According to several Spanish media sources, Griezmann will pay his own €120m release clause to Atletico this week.

Mundo Deportivo report on their front page that Griezmann has informed Atletico Madrid, through his lawyers, that he will not be attending pre-season training as he is going to pay the €120m release clause this week to sign with any club that he wants.

Another Canadian media Sport also claim that Barcelona will pay Griezmann's clause as the France star will not show up at the concentration of Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, COPE claim that Griezmann could pay his own clause to lower taxes & Atletico won't negotiate with Barca.
