Hamburg goalkeeper has scored one of the most absurd own goals you've ever seen

Hamburg have scored one of the worst own goals you'll ever see in the derby against St Pauli.

Hamburg tried to play out from the back in a top of the table Bundesliga.2 clash against their bitter city rivals St Pauli.

Goalkeeper Heuer Fernandes laid the ball to his centre-back Stephan Ambrosius, who passed it square to team-mate Guilherme Ramos.

The Portuguese centre-back then delivered a poor pass back to goal, wrong-footing his keeper.

In an attempt to avoid the ball from trickling out for a corner, Fernandes tried to smash the ball clear, only to lash it into his own net from a yard out.

Fans were quick to laugh at Hamburg's misery.

One person on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter, said: "The Hamburg keepers had a mare."

Another wrote: "This own goal scored by Hamburg in the derby for St Pauli is an instant classic. One of the best OGs you’ll ever see."
