Hansi Flick could leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season

There is surprising news from the all-powerful Bayern Munich, with the revelation that head coach Hansi Flick might leave his role at the end of the season.

The European champions and Bundesliga leaders may have the best squad in the world right now, but not all is harmonious in Bavaria.

According to Bild, Flick may be on the way out, despite having a contract until June 2023.

The three reasons for his possible exit

Firstly, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will leave his post as chief executive at the end of the year and be replaced by Oliver Kahn. Flick is very much Rummenigge's man.

Secondly, Flick has a tense relationship with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, disagreeing over signings, most of whom haven't become first-team regulars.

Last but not least, the German national team job may become available soon, with Joachim Low expected to step down after the European Championship.

Flick has worked for the German national team in various capacities before and taking over as head coach would no doubt be very attractive to him, as would reported offers from England.
