'He is always joking' - Figo forgives Ronaldo for comment about his wife

Luis Figo has forgiven Ronaldo for a comment the Brazilian had made about his wife.

The pair were teammates at Real Madrid when Ronaldo made the controversial statement to club president Florentino Perez.

"If I had the wife that Figo does, I would always stay at home," the striker stated.

Nevertheless, Figo appeared alongside his wife Helene Svendin on El Hormiguero to clarify that he doesn't hold a grudge against the Brazilian for the comment.

"I had already known about [the comment], because he had said it in the dressing room.

"But I forgive Roni because he is always joking.

"What he doesn't know is that I would leave the house when my wife would fall asleep," he joked to presenter Pablo Motos.
