Luis Figo's post-football career surprisingly rivals the success he had on the pitch thanks to his impressive business nous that has contributed to his multi-million net worth.

The Portuguese icon, 52, enjoyed a sporting career filled with stellar achievements, from winning the Champions League and Ballon d'Or in the same year to representing his nation at five major tournaments, including two World Cups.

After hanging up the boots in 2009 following a four-year stint with Inter Milan, the former winger has entrenched himself in the business world as he revealed his hefty net worth falls between 20 and 50million euros during an appearance on the ‘La Revuelta’ TV show, where he visited host David Broncano.

Among his biggest investments, Figo sunk money into real estate as he owns multiple properties, while he's also a main shareholder of a mining company that extracts minerals found in countries such as Guinea or Senegal.

In 2022, the Real Madrid icon became a shareholder in Spain's first chocolate and biscuit company, Elgorriago Brand, and even launched the 'Luis Figo' fashion label which is a luxury clothing brand, rounding out quite the diversified portfolio for the former footballer.

Figo can also be seen on TV screens thanks to his collaborations with Uber Eats, EA Sports, and Nike, while he also keeps close to football thanks to his role as a presidential advisor to UEFA chief Aleksander Ceferin.

Speaking to Broncano about his business career, he said: "I work a lot, I work at UEFA. You have to produce, someone has to work in this country. Life is very boring without working. If you have a life with a routine, if you like to produce, be an entrepreneur, create jobs... I like the feeling of doing things well. Call it what you want, if being a machine is producing, yes."
