IShowSpeed gets confirmation from Leao that his idol Ronaldo DOES know who he is

YouTube sensation IShowSpeed's dreams have finally come true after Portugal forward Rafael Leao confirmed to him that Cristiano Ronaldo does in fact know who he is.

Speed, who has 14.9million subscribers on YouTube, has gained fame for his adoration for Manchester United, but more notably for the former Red Devils superstar.

The 17-year-old, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr, is known for his gaming and entertainment livestreams.

His admiration for the former Real Madrid and Juventus star was even channelled into a song 'Ronaldo [Sewey]’.

But it has long been a quest for Speed to meet Ronaldo in person and find out if the prolific goalscorer knows who he is.

After several unsuccessful attempts to meet Ronaldo, including visiting Old Trafford twice from the US, and going to Qatar for the World Cup, Speed's dreams have finally come true.

During one of his online streams, Speed FaceTime's Leao who sends the YouTuber into complete ecstasy by telling him that Ronaldo is aware of him.

On the call, Speed asks Leao, 'Does Ronaldo know me?' to which the AC Milan forward replies after a long, suspenseful pause: 'Yes.'

As Speed begins to process what has been said and tries to control his emotion, Leao explains: 'You know sometimes like in the training, I come to him and I say "Sewey" and he say(s) the same thing'.

This is in reference to Ronaldo's iconic 'Sui' celebration which Speed often replicates in his videos.

At this point, Speed can no longer hide his emotion as he rips off his headset before jumping and screaming in pure excitement, sending Leao into hysterics too.

It comes after Speed's heartbreak last month after he failed in his quest to watch Ronaldo play for Manchester United twice in four days.

Ronaldo was not in the Red Devils squad for their trip to Fulham, with his absence said to be because of an unspecified illness. The YouTuber - who was interviewed by Geoff Shreeves on Sky Sports - was visibly distraught upon finding out.

And it came just days after he first attempted to see Ronaldo - only for the star also to be missing from Man United's League Cup team against Aston Villa.

Just days after, Sky Sports said they would not be collaborating with Speed after previous misogynistic comments emerged.
