Erling Haaland has been labelled 'immature' and warned to cut out the moaning after he went to the media over his row with Sweden's Alexander Milosevic.
Tensions frayed last week in Norway's Nations League win over Sweden, with Haaland accusing Milosevic of calling him a 'whore' and threatening to break his legs.
Milosevic insisted he did not insult the new Manchester City striker and now Sweden's Ludwig Augustinsson has called out Haaland's immaturity.
'I've been in Spain and Germany and a lot of serious things are said there,' Augustinsson said.
'That's something one has to deal with and not tell the media. One has to learn that.
'It was a bit immature, because that can cause upset, but there is a derby feeling between Sweden and Norway and those things can happen.'
The jibe clearly did not have the desired effect from a Sweden perspective as Haaland responded in brutal fashion.
In Sunday’s Nations League reunion, Haaland bagged a brace and an assist in a 3-2 win in Group B4.
Norway are comfortably top of that group now, three points ahead of Serbia and seven ahead of Sweden.
Slovenia are bottom, one point adrift of Sweden.
The Man City striker, who has headed to the Premier League this summer in a £51million move from Borussia Dortmund, has taken his tally for Norway to 20 goals in 21 caps.
But while his goals have dictated the results, it has been his altercation with Milosevic that has ignited this derby atmosphere.
In the meeting earlier this month, footage appeared to show AIK defender Milosevic directing words towards Haaland on at least two occasions.
Asked on the incident after the game, Haaland told TV2 Norway: 'First he called me a whore, which I can assure you I'm not, and told me he was going to break my legs. Then I scored a minute later.'
Milosevic was also asked about the exchanges but denied any had taken place, despite footage to the contrary.
'It is quite rude to say what he says, because I do not speak Norwegian and he does not speak Swedish, so I do not know how we should communicate,' he said.
'I do not speak English on the pitch, so it is surprising that he says things I have not said.'
