Inter are monitoring the situation of River Plate defender Lucas Martinez Quarta ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today's print edition of Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri club are seemingly keen to reinforce their defence over the coming months and Martinez Quarta is among a number of players that is on Inter's radar.
The 23-year-old drew links to Inter near the end of last year ahead of the January transfer window but nothing happened but things could change this time.
Martinez Quarta has a release clause of €22 million in his current contract with the Superliga Argentina powerhouses but the Turin based newspaper goes on to state that Inter might be able to complete a deal for him which would total €15 million.
This season the two time Argentine international, who is a product of River Plate's famed academy, has made 20 appearances across all competitions, in which he has provided a single assist.

And then Barcelona comes and get him. So why not send him straight to Barcelona why go all the troubles to lose him after a year.
On the short term yes but on the long run no It should go back to the old system once a club buys a player there’s no contracts of years the player belongs to the club and they don’t have end of contract. That’s why a lot of clubs get into financial trouble. And can never build a good side. That was a better system.
