Liverpool will be buoyed by Alexander Isak's impending return to training after a lengthy injury lay-off.
Isak, the British record signing, sustained a broken ankle and fibula as he scored for the Reds against Tottenham on December 20.
The Sweden international required surgery, and has subsequently been out of action since then.
However, Arne Slot confirmed ahead of this weekend's FA Cup clash with Manchester City that Isak will return to training on Thursday.
"To have him again in a team that's usually generating quite a lot chances – and maybe not immediately from the first moment that he can start – but to have him back for the last two months is, I think, very helpful for us," Slot told Liverpool's official media channels.
"Alex is in a really good place because Sweden qualified for the World Cup and apart from that he's going to train with the group again for the first time."
Isak has scored just three goals for Liverpool in 16 appearances.
Slot is confident Mohamed Salah, who last week confirmed he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, will be fit to face Man City on Saturday.
"Another example of what makes him special because the moment he got injured there was a bit of a situation where they thought, 'I don't think he's available for City.' But Mo looked at me and said, 'I think I will be available for City'," Slot said.
Salah missed Liverpool's 2-1 loss at Brighton before the international break.
Jeremie Frimpong will need to be assessed after sustaining an injury while on Netherlands duty, while Slot is hopeful Federico Chiesa will be available.
Goalkeeper Alisson remains sidelined.

Great news. Don't rush, heal well for next season. Salah will be leaving and you can form a formidable strike force with Ekitike. Well Done.
