Jack Grealish jokingly mocked Bernardo Silva after Manchester City's win over Newcastle in the FA Cup quarter-final.

Pep Guardiola's side booked their place in the semi-finals at Wembley with a 2-0 victory against the Magpies at the Etihad.

The opening goal of the match came after 13 minutes when Bernardo Silva cut in from the left and struck a shot which took a big deflection off Dan Burn on it's way past Martin Dubravka.

City doubled their lead just after the half hour mark in similar style from a Silva shot which deflected off Sven Botman this time around.

And after the match, Grealish took to social media to make it known that his Portuguese team-mate was lucky to get on the scoresheet.

The England international, who made the bench after recovering from a groin injury, posted a photo of Silva holding up two fingers to indicate he scored twice.

Grealish captioned the photo on instagram: 'They were not his goals!! They were own goals!!'

In beating Newcastle, Manchester City set a new record as they became the first side to advance to the FA Cup semi-finals for six consecutive seasons.

A delighted Guardiola said: 'After we won the treble, and five titles, we're coming to the international break with two months left and to be in contention for all the titles means a lot,' the City boss said.

'I know people talk about the Premier League, the Champions League, but to have won four Carabao Cups and (reach) six FA Cup semi-finals in a row, this team, this club, has something special, so it's incredible.

'Of course we want to win all of them but sometimes this is not possible basically for the quality of the opponents and the schedule we haveโ€ฆbut we were there six times in a row.

'Always you can have a bad night or a bad afternoon and to be there six times, you didn't have a bad night. And for those that doubt the consistency of the team you prove they are wrong.'

City will continue their hunt for a second consecutive treble after the international break when they face Premier League leaders Arsenal at the Etihad.
