Jadon Sancho has finally spoken out on the speculation surrounding his future in football, as Manchester United continue their attempts to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
So far United have tried and failed to prise Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund, and made matters worse for themselves after missing an August 10th deadline set down by the German club.
Links to Old Trafford simply will not go away however, and Sancho admits it is now a case of simply trying to focus on the task in hand, while refusing to directly rule out a transfer.
'I try not to look at the media because I think once you start looking at all that it would be easy to get carried away with it,' Sancho told Soccerbible, at the launch event of his personalised Nike collection.
'It can affect players. For me it’s about not looking at those things and just focusing on trying to do the best I can on the pitch. Especially in training.
'For me it’s about improving every single day. It’s important for me to keep a smile on my face and keep happy.
'I don’t really look at all the noise and all that stuff. I’d rather keep my head down, keep focus and improve every day.'
Reports in Germany now suggest that Dortmund players are convinced Sancho will be staying for at least another season, and the player is said to have been working extensively in training alongside forward line partners Erling Haaland and Thorgan Hazard.
Dortmund have made clear from the outset that £108million is the figure it will require to see Sancho leave the club, though United have so far failed to come close to this valuation.
Sancho has just enjoyed his most successful season in professional football, showing a marked improvement upon his highly impressive debut campaign.
In the Bundesliga season just gone, Sancho produced 17 goals and a remarkable 17 assists in 32 matches.
On the Champions League stage, the 20-year-old showed he was more than up for the elite level challenge and scored twice and put on two assists in eight matches, including a strike against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Reports in Italy have now suggested United are turning to other alternatives, with a £27m bid for Juventus's Brazil international Douglas Costa.
United are being linked with Costa as an alternative to Sancho, and understand Juve have a willingness to sell the player in order to reduce their crippling wage bill.

I am tired of this fucking man United. Man united is the only team I can support even they are losing but they have to consider we that fans why can’t Man U sign a player with have 6 month negotiation this Fuckoff. Please let sign sancho it is not only about taking Greenwood’s place no but United is a big team and we need a big bench just look what Rasfords have been playing recently very poor and if sancho come greenwood can be on the bench and if any players don’t he take ur place because he is hungry but we also need a quality player and I was think Rasdford is the answer but he is nowhere closed with that performance he shows recently. If when united pay almost 100m for that stupid defender maguire why not even 150m for sancho please even Chelsea is about to pay 90 for Haverts en sancho is far better him. So please the United board don’t fucking give us more heartbreak next season sign sancho and a center back we are tied of this stupid romours everyday day.
