Zinedine Zidane has called up James Rodriguez for the game against Celta Vigo and the Colombian will be part of a Real Madrid squad for the first time in 818 days.
His last match for Los Blancos dates back in May 21, 2017, when his team went past Malaga 2-0 at La Rosaleda in the last game of the campaign to win the league title.
He then wasn't included in the squad for the Champions League final in Cardiff and departed to Bayern Munich on loan for the next couple of years.
He returned to the Spanish club this summer and his name featured among those who may depart during the transfer window.
The injuries of Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio, however, prompted Zidane to include him to the team's squad for their league opener.
