John Terry hits back at 'NONSENSE' from a 'lazy' fan over Frank Lampard's backroom staff claim

John Terry has clashed with a Chelsea supporter online after he was told that he shouldn't be given a role as part of Frank Lampard's coaching team.

Lampard was appointed Chelsea's interim manager on Thursday after the club announced he would take charge until the end of the season.

Chelsea's all-time top scorer will be in the dugout for the Premier League's run-in and a huge quarter-final Champions League clash with tournament holders Real Madrid.

But Terry won't be returning to the club as part of the backroom team after he revealed in an online post that Lampard already 'has his team'.

The legendary centre-back is currently a coaching consultant at Chelsea after retiring from an active role having previously been assistant at Aston Villa, but did state a Stamford Bridge return is the only role he would consider.

But 42-year-old Terry appears to have been irked by a Twitter user who told Lampard not to consider his former team-mate because he plays 'too much golf'.

The rant read: 'Delighted that Lamps is back and excited by the back room appointments. But please don’t add JT (John Terry) to that list.

'Club legend but too much golf and not enough coaching experience to warrant inclusion. We’re past the days of barrack-room bombast.'

Quick to reject the 'nonsense' post, Terry retorted with two frustrated messages as he first slammed the anonymous user and attempted to justify his own coaching abilities after winning 'promotion to the Premier League' and spending time working under 'some of the best managers in the game'.

Terry's initial reply stated: 'Lazy comment. I have all my coaching badges to coach at the TOP LEVEL in the game.

'Spent three years at Villa and WON PROMOTION to the Premier League, improved players and individuals year after year,' he added.

'Oh and played at the top level under some of the best managers in the game for 17 years.'

Terry worked under the likes of Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez and Antonio Conte during his 19-year-playing career at Chelsea and clearly feels he learnt a few things from the highly-regarded coaches.

He then went on to rubbish claims that he could return alongside Lampard as he stressed that the interim manager 'has his team' and that he was only responding to online comments because he 'won't have people talk nonsense'.

Terry posted: 'Also unbelievable news for everyone at Chelsea to have lamps back.

'I know how this works, Frank has his team and if I went into a job I would have mine. I won’t have people talk nonsense.

'Lamps is the best player in our history and this is just what we needed. Super Frank,' he added.
