My uncle goes to Italy often during the winter, particularly Milan and Rome, he lives in London. He thought they were joking when they told him all the layers he had to bring the first time...hat with wool, jackets with lining, overall pants! It was the coldest place on earth is how he described it! Their autumn and winter are way below anything on these islands. I ‘get’ the appeal of Spain and Portugal but I wouldn’t be talking about weather if you’re living in Italy.
