Jurgen Klopp's wife went to impressive lengths to ensure she witnessed a Liverpool victory parade.

The outgoing Liverpool boss has been showered in tributes as he stands down after nine years at the helm. On top of winning a string of trophies, including the Premier League and the Champions League, the German has endeared himself to Merseyside for the way he has connected with the city.

The same goes for his wife, Ulla Sandrock, who has made charitable donations to good causes, including to Formby Community Football Club during lockdown in 2020, which helped with food and medicine deliveries.

Like Klopp, Sandrock loves to show her passion for the Reds. Back in 2019, she was among the hordes of supporters celebrating the club’s Champions League final victory over Tottenham.

Hundreds of thousands of fans lined the streets for an open-top bus parade the day after the final in Madrid. Struggling to get a view of her hubby and Liverpool’s heroes, Sandrock resorted to climbing on top of a bin as the bus went by.

Sandrock loves the area so much, she was a major factor in her husband signing a new long-term contract in 2022, although he now won’t see it out following his decision to stand down.

"I stay for another two years,” he said after extending his contract to 2026. “Why is now the question? Because Ulla wants to stay and, as a good husband, what are you doing when your wife wants to stay? You are staying.”

He added: "We sat at the kitchen table and Ulla said, 'I can't see us leaving in 2024'. I said 'what?'. That's how it all started and when that started I thought, 'let's have a think'."

However, following a 2-0 win over Wolves, Klopp has bowed out in 2024 amid emotional scenes at Anfield.
