Kane alternative lined up

Harry Kane has been manchester City’s undoubted number 1 target all summer as they look to recruit a striker, but the latest news has suggested that a deal remains some way off, even with an offer of 150 million euros on the table.

As a result, the Citizens have reportedly been sounding out other options, with one of those thought to be the man Spurs were set to replace Kane with, Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic.

As per Italian journalist Sara Meini, the Serbian forward is in talks with Pep Guardiola’s side, and could well offer a cut-price answer to their Harry Kane conundrum.

No suitors for Bernardo Silva

Meanwhile, no suitors have yet made themselves known for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

Arsenal were thought to be interested in the midfielder, but he allegedly turned the offer down as he seeks to leave England.

Of the other clubs, only Atletico Madrid have shown an interest in the Portuguese player, but it remains to be seen whether they can stump up the desired amount, thought to be around 50 million pounds.

Ruben Dias set for new contract

Finally, a report in The Sun suggests that Ruben Dias is beginning negotiations over a new contract in Manchester.

Dias has impressed since he joined the club from Benfica last summer, picking up the player of the year award in his first season and marshalling Manchester City to another title win. He and John Stones formed a formidable defensive partnership, and with Stones having signed a new deal, it appears that Dias is in line to be next.

As per the report, Manchester City will be offering him a new deal with improved terms from his 90k per week current offering, and will also look to extend the contract for another year, keeping him at the Etihad until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Based on last season, it feels well deserved.
