Harry Kane and Son Heung-min made history on Saturday as the lethal Tottenham duo combined for a record 13th goal in the Premier League this season.

The Spurs pair have been in scintillating form this campaign, with their goals and assists for one another putting Jose Mourinho's side in the mix for a run at the title.

And the duo combined once more in Saturday's 3-0 win over Leeds United at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, with Kane providing the assist for his South Korean team-mate to double the hosts' lead.

That combination makes it the 13th goal in which the two have been provider for one another. According to Opta stats, only Chris Sutton and Alan Shearer have combined for the same total of goals when the pair were wreaking havoc at Blackburn in 1995-96.

What's more, the contest in north London was only Spurs' 16th game of the campaign, meaning there is plenty of time for Kane and Son to add to their tally.

The England captain had previously explained that his telepathic connection with Son makes it an 'easy game' for him.

'We're both at an age now where we're coming into maybe our prime in terms of understanding the game and understanding each other,' he said.

'When I'm passing him through and he's cutting inside and whipping them into the top bins it is an easy game for me.'

Kane is on his way to his most prolific season in front of goal. The 27-year-old has scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in 24 outings for Mourinho's side this season.

His goal from the penalty spot this weekend means he has scored against every single opponent he has faced in the top flight, a whopping 30.

Son, meanwhile, has scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in the same number of games for Spurs this campaign. His strike was his 100th for Spurs, with only Kane scoring more (169) since his debut in September 2015.
