Kevin De Bruyne and wife Michele Lacroix appeared in fine spirits at Manchester City's title party on Sunday despite Thierry Henry's claim that the midfielder is playing through a 'private' personal issue off the field.

City were crowned Premier League champions for the fifth time in six years over the weekend, with Arsenal's 1-0 defeat away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday ensuring Pep Guardiola's men retained their title.

After lifting the trophy following a 1-0 win over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, the celebrations continued as City players and their respective partners headed to private club MNKY HSE in Manchester to party into the early hours.

While superstar striker Erling Haaland and his girlfriend Isabel Johansen caught most attention by donning matching sky blue pyjamas, De Bruyne and Lacroix also rocked up at the party and were all smiles as they posed alongside Nathan Ake and wife Kaylee.

In photos shared on Instagram, the two wives also shared a snap with Ines Degener Tomaz, the partner of midfielder Bernardo Silva.

De Bruyne, who has three children with Lacroix, has enjoyed a superb end to the campaign after being dropped by Guardiola on some occasions after the World Cup break, scoring important goals in wins over Real Madrid and Arsenal to help City edge further towards a historic Treble.

That is despite the Belgian dealing with a private issue in his personal life right now, which Henry shed light on following City's Champions League semi-final win over Madrid last week.

After De Bruyne was seen sharing an emotional hug with the former Belgium assistant manager at the Etihad, Henry said on CBS Sports: 'It was [a touching moment]. I can't say it because I have to keep that private.

'But from what he said to me, I even more respect how he played tonight and how he came and battled with his team. I can't share what he said because I can't share it. That's how it is.

'But once again I will go back to, for me he is the most important player.'

Mail Sport understands City wish to keep the matter private and are confident it will not affect the rest of the season.

De Bruyne has been instrumental to City’s success since joining the club in 2015, with the 31-year-old winning five Premier League titles, five League Cups and one FA Cup.

Guardiola's side are also set to contest this season's FA Cup and Champions League finals, where Manchester United and Inter Milan await them.

This season, De Bruyne has registered 10 goals and 28 assists in 46 appearances to boost their chances of landing all three trophies.

Victory over Madrid saw City move a step closer to that potential Treble, with the now-English champions producing a masterclass to sweep aside Carlo Ancelotti's men in a sensational 4-0 victory.

De Bruyne had been cheered on from the stands by his wife Michele, who he married back in 2017.

The couple have been together since 2014, with the Belgian proposing under the Eiffel Tower during a romantic trip to Paris in 2016. They are parents to sons Mason, seven, Rome, four, and daughter Suri, two.
