Kylian Mbappe's future with Paris Saint-Germain remains uncertain and the Frenchman is said to remain in contact with several Premier League clubs
The future of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe continues to dominate headlines following the Frenchman's letter that indicated he wouldn't be extending his current contract in Paris past the end of next season.
That would mean Mbappe would be available on a free transfer next summer if he doesn't leave before then, with Spanish giants Real Madrid the clear favourites in the race for the prolific attacker's signature. But French outlet L’Équipe, via GFFN, have now reported that the 24-year-old has remained in contact with several Premier League clubs that had tried to sign him back in 2017.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and United have all been previously linked with a move for the PSG frontman, who 'loves' the Enligh top-flight, according to French football expert Julien Laurens. Speaking about Mbappe on talkSPORT, Laurens said: "On top of Real Madrid, maybe Barcelona because as a free agent, they might be able to afford him, and Juventus.
"And Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and then all of the English top-six clubs, well maybe not Spurs. But yes, City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, anyone can go as a free agent. So, I think he’s really good.
"It’s win-win for him. In terms of English clubs, I think he loves the Premier League.
“Real Madrid has always been his dream because he grew up watching Cristiano Ronaldo and (Zinedine) Zidane and when he was 11 he went to do training and everything. He also went to Chelsea when he was 11 to train and I think the Premier League has always been attractive to him.”
"He has a great reputation here in France, he's well-respected and knows how to develop young players. This was a real option for me.
"But, of course, Paris Saint-Germain was the main option. We weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of all the clubs but my family told me it had to be my decision and one I needed to make.
"It also had to be a long-term decision. So it was up to me and I decided to come here in order to develop."
