Lazio: ‘Correct payment in Pedro Neto deal’

Lazio claim they have correctly paid Sporting Braga in the Pedro Neto deal despite confusing the Portuguese side with Sporting Lisbon in their official financial accounts.

The Biancocelesti confessed they mixed up Sporting Braga with Sporting Lisbon on their official financial accounts listing payments for Pedro Neto.

The Serie A side, however, claimed they correctly paid Sporting Braga.

“In relation to the news appeared on some websites and in the press concerning the player Pedro Neto, S.S. Lazio states that the financial transactions were carried out correctly,” the statement reads.

“Contrary to what was published, no payment was made to third parties (the club Sporting Lisbon) although erroneously mentioned in the notes to the balance sheet.”
