Leeds United are in talks to sign goalkeeper Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid, according to Sky Sport.
The Championship leaders have been short of cover since losing Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman to a broken leg in November and Marcelo Bielsa appears to have identified a replacement.
The 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu since Thibaut Courtois arrived from Chelsea last summer and has yet to feature this season.
Having started his career at Real, Casilla moved to Espanyol in 2007 before returning to the Bernabeu in 2015, after which he served as the back-up 'keeper for three seasons.
The former Spain international made 17 appearances for Real last season, including their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham in the Champions League group stage.
Northern Ireland goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has occupied the number one jersey at Elland Road so far this season, but the 22-year-old has been inconsistent at times.
Leeds are attempting to return to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated from the top flight in 2004 and moved five points clear at the top with a 2-0 victory over Derby on Friday night.
