Legend Ronaldo said that sex could 'never be as rewarding' as winning World Cup

Brazil legend Ronaldo once admitted that winning the World Cup produces a better feeling than having sex - sort of.

Ronaldo, who is now 46, is a man who knows a thing or two about both disciplines. The former Barcelona and Real Madrid man twice won the famous Jules Rimet trophy - first in 1994 and then in 2002 - and he also previously admitted that he used to have sex before games.

El Fenomeno, as he quickly became known, didn't get off the bench during the 1994 tournament in the United States. But he made his presence felt eight years later in South Korea and Japan as he led Brazil to their fifth World Cup win.

Ronaldo found the net twice in the final against Germany, ensuring that there would be no unexpected climax. And after the match a reporter asked Ronaldo whether winning the World Cup was better than sex - prompting an interesting response from the star.

With a cheeky grin on his gap-toothed face, he replied: "Both are very hard to go without, but I don't think sex could ever be as rewarding as winning the World Cup.

"It's not that sex is not great; just that the World Cup is only every four years and sex is a lot more regular than that."

You can't argue with that, and he later added that winning his second World Cup was a "wonderful moment that before I could not even dream of."

As we touched upon earlier, Ronaldo has always had something of a relaxed attitude when it comes to sex. In a 2011 interview, the legendary footballer revealed that having a quick bonk before games sometimes helped him maintain focus.

"I have had sex several times before some games," he told a Brazilian TV station. "It helps you concentrate. Not all the coaches let you have sex before a match though. I have noticed that in some games, I played better because I had sex before them."

Ronaldo is currently in a relationship with blonde bombshell Cecina Locks, some 13 years his junior. Locks, who is a model, reportedly started dating the iconic goalscorer in 2015.

The pair are regularly pictured together at red carpet events, including at the recent premier of a documentary charting his life and career entitled: "The Phenomenon, The Rise, Fall and Redemption of Ronaldo."
