The 30-year-old Algeria international joins the Yellow Canaries on a one-year loan deal from the King Power Stadium

Fenerbahce have completed the capture of Leicester City forward Islam Slimani on a one-year loan deal that will keep him at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium until the end of the 2018-19 season.

The 30-year-old struggled for playing time at King Power Stadium before a short stint with Newcastle where he featured on four occasions.

He joins the Yellow Canaries and will feature alongside fellow Africans; Carlos Kameni and Andre Ayew in Phillip Cocu’s squad.

“Happy to start a new adventure with this great club Fenerbahce for whom I will give everything on the field,” said Slimani.

“Thanks to my agents for this new challenge and especially a great thanks to the fans for a magnificent welcome.”

Slimani is likely going to make his debut for the Turkey topflight outfit in their Champions League qualification game versus Benfica on Tuesday.
