Leicester City have confirmed their Thai owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was among one of five killed in yesterday's helicopter crash.
Leicestershire Police has since confirmed that while formal identification has not yet taken place, the five killed people are believed to be Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, Nusara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and passenger Izabela Roza Lechowicz.
The tragic accident happened after Leicester City's 1-1 draw with West Ham United when Srivaddhanapraba was leaving the stadium.
The helicopter owned by Srivaddhnaprabha spiralled and crashed to the ground before bursting into flames in the club's car park.
One eye witness outside the stadium said: "I saw it all. It was clearly in trouble and only just managed to get over the stadium before it started whirling around and coming down."
Mr Srivaddhanapraba, estimated to be worth £5bn, is a Thai businessman and chairman of Leicester City's sponsors King Power.
He took over the club in August 2010 for a reported fee of £39m and lead them to Premier League glory in 2015/16 season for the first time in club history.

As sports fans, we fight each other, but with love. We belong to different teams but never wish death on anyone of our opponents. This is truly a terrible event. May Jehovah remember his life... I hope all clubs, not just the EPL do something in honour of his legacy and pay respect to Leicester City.

This just reinforces the truth that wealth and luxury cannot guarantee one's life. Only God can.

Its indeed a bad news . who would have believed that death was lurking in the corner ? It's a reminder to us all to be ever prepared for we do not know the hour it will behold us . To the dead, may they find peace in the LORD. To the bereaved families, may GOD console and comfort you all. To the Leicester family / club , may GOD see u through. To the football family , may GOD comfort us all., amen.
