Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski had his watch stolen outside the club's Ciutat Esportiva training ground on Thursday, per TV3.
The watch, worth a reported 70,000 euros, was snatched as the 33-year-old forward greeted fans ahead of an evening training session with Barca.
The thief opened Lewandowski's car door and took the watch, with the Poland international attempting to catch the thief himself after the incident.
Police quickly arrested a suspect and Lewandowski got his watch back before participating in the practice session ahead of Sunday's LaLiga game at Real Sociedad.
The 33-year-old joined the Spanish giants from Bayern Munich last month after helping the German side win eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League.
The striker made his debut for Xavi's side in their opening LaLiga game of the season, which ended in goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano.
And the forward revealed that the game was different from what he was used to at his previous club.
Speaking after the draw at the Camp Nou, Lewandowski said: 'I was surprised when I saw six players inside their area and one of them marking me. This does not happen in the Bundesliga.
'This way of playing is anti-football. I hope itβs the only team in the league that plays like this.'
The Polish international was only registered with LaLiga by Barca on the day before the game amid doubts over the club's financial state of play.
