Limited-edition Puma king platinum Lukaku signature boots released

Following his move to Inter Milan, Puma have honored Romelu Lukaku with his own pair of limited-edition signature boots based on the recently introduced King Platinum silo.

Inspired by the boots worn by Lukaku's dad when he used to play in Belgium in the early 1990s, the new cleats are black with a white outsole and white accents.

Lukaku said of the new boots: “Indirectly I feel connected with the shoes. My Dad was wearing these shoes scoring goals with the these in the Belgium First Division. In the year I was born in '93, he was wearing these shoes basically.

“At a later age me and my dad would wear the same size shoe. For a good 4 to 4 years we used to share boots. It's nice to see the new version of these compared to the version my father would wear.”

The Puma King Platinum RL boots are available to order right now through Pro:Direct, retailing at £220. They are only available as a size 9 UK.

Lukaku will wear the new boots for one game only, the Serie A opener against Lecce later this month.
