30 of Inter's 49 goals across all competitions this season have come from strike force Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, a report in today's print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport highlights.
The pair instantly showed a good understanding with one another upon Lukaku's club record transfer arrival from Manchester United over the Summer and this understanding is growing game after game and day after day, with the pair having developed a close relationship off of the pitch also.
Since Inter won the treble back at the end of the 2009/10 season, only Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic have combined for more goals than Lukaku and Lautaro have this season as they notched 40 goals between them during the 2017/18 season.
Lukaku and Lautaro are well on their way to exceeding this and potentially setting a record that will be very hard to beat based upon their current goal scoring form. It may well only be a matter of weeks until they surpass Icardi and Perisic's feat.
