Casemiro was a spoiler. He has been at his worst in the past several games He comes across to me as a lazy player with poor passes, and lacking commitment and enthusiasm. He shouldn't be starting any games these days if RM has to stop giving balls away so easily to their opponents. I think Marcelo also no longer has the strength, swiftness and enthusiasm that he used to exude to the admiration of fans. Sometimes I wonder whether he sincerely desires to seriously play for RM anymore, especially since after the departure of Christiana Ronaldo. Benzeme is clearly getting old to be of any serious and sustainable threat to the goalkeepers of his opponents--despite his occasional good luck goals. Real urgently needs younger and more energetic and swift strikers in the mold of Mbappe of PSG, Mane of Liverpool, and Raheem Sterling of Man City. Madrid also needs to beef up their defence line as Varane and captain Ramos are increasingly getting caught napping, thereby putting unnecessary pressure on their goalkeeper. Finally, coach Zidane should work hard on getting teenage player, Vinicius, to quickly develop a higher self-confidence level in front of goal. Most of his shots at the goalkeepers are often ineffectual. He has a lot of poyential though, given his age and present level of experience.
