Man City's treble winners have returned to Manchester airport after their Champions League final win over Inter Milan in Istanbul.

They were greeted by fans who waved flags in their honour, as players emerged holding the greatest prize in European football.

It seems the celebrations continued on the plane, as the squad were pictured drinking in their seats after a historic win in Turkey.

Ayemric Laporte held the Cup close, while Jack Grealish appeared to be the social hub of the group as he celebrated with Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.

Phil Foden held up a sky blue Man City cupcake after his impressive performance off the bench on Saturday, while John Stones held up his winners medal as he posed with Kalvin Phillips.

City beat Inter 1-0 on Saturday night thanks to a second half goal from Rodri, securing their third trophy of the season after already securing the Premier League and FA Cup.

The midfielder was not happy with his performance before the break and had to persuade the boss to keep him on, but made up for it in the second half with a classy strike.

Ederson was called upon to make two excellent late saves as the Italian side proved a tougher test than many had predicted, but the Cityzens held out for a deserved win.

It meant they matched arch-rivals Man United's historic 1999 season, while Manchester became the second city in Europe, after Milan, to boast two Champions League winning clubs.

The only cloud was an injury to Kevin De Bruyne in the first half, who was forced to leave a UCL final early for the second time in his career.

City's partying after the victory ran through the night, with Jack Grealish seemingly staying in his kit through the night as he was pictured before flying home the morning after.
