Manchester City will be looking to maintain their winning streak following their dramatic victory over Fulham on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's side left it late to claim a vital three points at the Etihad Stadium, as Erling Haaland scored his 18th Premier League goal with a 95th-minute penalty.
Julian Alvarez had given City the lead in the 16th minute, but Fulham were level less than 15 minutes later, as Joao Cancelo was shown a straight red card while conceding a penalty in the process. The win put pressure on Arsenal ahead of their 1-0 win against Chelsea less than 24 hours later.
Ahead of the World Cup break, City will be eager to maintain their fine momentum across their next six league matches. MEN Sport has taken a close look at the Blues' next six league fixtures and compared them with those of their fellow expected title and top-four challengers.
Guardiola will be hoping to return to winning ways against Brentford at the Etihad for City's final match before the World Cup. The reigning champions then face a trip to Elland Road after the break, in what will undoubtedly be a challenging fixture in a hostile environment.
City have two standout matches in January, with difficult away trips to Chelsea and bitter rivals Manchester United. With Arsenal not showing any signs of slowing down under Mikel Arteta, Guardiola knows how vital it is to keep the pressure on after the World Cup.
