Manchester United and Adidas have teamed up with the Stone Roses to release a new collection of trainin gear and casual wear.

The Red Devils have paid tribute to the iconic Manchester-based band with a nod to their debut self-titled album - with the club incorporating the same dark green, white and yellow colours from the artwork.

The design - made by guitarist John Squire - also features the same patchy and abstract style as their famous 1989 album cover, with fans able to buy a signature bucket hat in the same vein as the popular band.

On the inside of the training tops, Adidas have used gold lettering featuring the words 'The Stone Roses' inside the collar, with

Other merchandise available is a long-sleeve top with the band's iconic lemon logo down the sleeves, as well as a scarf that reads 'This is the one' - a reference to their hit song from their first album.

Supporters can also buy a grey training top as part of the collection, as well as a black and tracksuit jacket, green bucket hat and other casual tops.

The jackets will set you back £90, the main training top at £60 while a hat costs £40.

Fans can buy the products on Man United's website right now ahead of the first team wearing the gear for the first time when they warm up before their away clash at Aston Villa this weekend.

James Holroyd, Chief Commercial Development Officer at Manchester United, said the club had decided to release the collection because of the deep connection between the band and the club's culture.

'This collection recognises our joint histories in a way that connects with both older fans and the new generation of supporters.'

A host of first team players - including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Scott McTominay, took part in a photoshoot to show off the latest collection, while a short film called 'Roses are Red' - with appearances from club legends Gary Neville and Wes Brown - has also been released to showcase it.

United make the trip to Villa Park on Sunday afternoon looking to continue their good form in the Premier League after back to back wins.

Erik ten Hag's men secured a confident 3-0 win at home to West Ham last weekend, following on from a nervy 4-3 win at Wolves.

The Red Devils know they must keep their form going to generate more momentum for a push up the table. They are currently sixth with 38 points from 23 games - six points off fifth-placed Tottenham and eight off fourth-placed Villa.
