Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio is emerging as a surprise Manchester United target.
The 21-year-old does have a €45 million release clause, which would make him affordable within United's budget.
Per O Jogo in Portugal, the player's representative has already been speaking with the Red Devils about a summer move.
United boss Erik ten Hag does want a new centre back, as Harry Maguire, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, and even Victor Lindelof may all leave.
The Red Devils will want to improve in that area, given they have struggled when the likes of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have been out through injury.
Inacio has impressed with Sporting, playing 48 times for Ruben Amorim's team.

A good back up defender he would be. More like Laporte of city. Cheap as well with a good age. He’ll learn from Martinez and varane before he’ll grow to become a first choice option.
