Manchester City youngster Morgan Rogers attracts the interest of Blackpool and Huddersfield

Manchester City winger Morgan Rogers is attracting interest from Blackpool and Huddersfield Town among others as he contemplates his next move.

The 19-year-old winger joined Bournemouth in the summer with view to making the move permanent, however, a lack of game time under Scott Parker has forced City into a re-think.

Bournemouth's loan came with an option to buy at the end of the season for an initial £12m and an extra £3m in add-ons, and separately an obligation to buy for £9m rising to £12m with add-ons if they won promotion to the Premier League.

Those clauses though will now be voided when Rogers moves again.

Swansea City, who have a strong relationship with City and signed defender Finley Burns on loan on Friday, Oostende and Aberdeen have also enquired for Rogers.

City have had a quiet January transfer window  with no incomings so far. But they are expected to complete the signing River Plate forward Julian Alvarez before Monday's deadline.

There was a major departure earlier in the month after Ferran Torres moved to Barcelona for £49.5m.

Nevertheless, despite playing with an unrecognised striker all season, Pep Guardiola's side remain top of the Premier League.

They will take-on Fulham in the fourth round of the FA Cup next weekend before returning to league action against Brentford.
