Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has warned Manchester City and Liverpool their dominance will come to an end and he is looking forward to 'battling' with Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
City won their fourth Premier League title in five seasons on an exhilarating final day on Sunday and Liverpool have clinched both domestic cups under Klopp and face Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.
United have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson's final season in 2013 and are trophyless in the last five years but Ten Hag is optimistic he can break the City and Liverpool duopoly.
"In this moment, I admire them both," Ten Hag said. "They play really fantastic football, both Liverpool and Man City. But you always see an era can come to an end and I'm looking forward to battling with them.
"And I am sure all the other clubs in the Premier League want to do that."
When asked if Guardiola and Klopp's dominance could end with them in situ , he replied: "I think, yeah."
City won the title with 93 points and Liverpool finished second on 90 points. United ended the season sixth with a miserable 58 points and are further behind City than they were in the David Moyes season of 2013-14.
High-profile player and managerial careers have suffered reputational damage by joining United and Ten Hag cultivated an impressive reputation during his four-and-a-half years at Ajax.
"I don't see it as a risk," Ten Hag said of going to United. "I think this club has a great history and now let's make a future. I'm really excited to do that with the people around who are in the club. We bring some new people into the staff, we will analyse the squad and we will go from day-to-day, work hard, 100 per cent committed and I am sure we will get success.
"What we're thinking about is this is a project, it takes time, but I also know that in this club, and I have experience at other clubs like Ajax and Bayern Munich, that at the top there is never time but we want to win every game so we go from game to game and then we will see.β

It is not warning. It is his opinion.I predict that he'll be the best Man United manager after Sir Alex.I watched his full interview and his words are sensible.
