Martin Odegaard skill earns him standing ovation from Arsenal crowd and gasps

Martin Odegaard briefly channelled his inner Johan Cruyff during Arsenal's clash with Wet Ham on Boxing Day - and it sent Arsenal fans wild.

The Norwegian suckered in both Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen, before dragging the ball behind his heel into the open field. The deceptive spin left both Bowen and Paqueta bamboozled as they tried to work out where Odegaard had gone.

Odegaard was on top form for Arsenal, who had to battle back from behind to claim three points. However, it was the spin the Arsenal man made that sent the Gunners fans wild on social media.

One fan joked: "Absolutely pulled both of their pants down. Lovely stuff. What a performance tonight!"

"This is so mesmerising...I just can't get myself out of watching this on a loop," a second added. While a third tweeted: "Martin Odegaard, aka Captain Fantastic, took Paqueta back to Flamengo last night. You love to see it!"

And a fourth added: "There was absolutely no reason for Odegaard to embarrass those two gentlemen like that!"

Odegaard assisted Bukayo Saka for Arsenal's equaliser on Monday evening, when his shot deflected into the direction of the young starlet - who expertly rolled the ball home.
