Manchester United may still be reeling from their defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, but Juan Mata seemed determined to take his mind off the result as he hit the town with his girlfriend Evelina Kamph.

Mata and Kamph visited the Grand Pacific bar and restaurant in Manchester as they enjoyed a night out.

Dishes on offer at the Grand Pacific include lamb massaman curry, which costs £17.95, while beef tsukamen costs £14.95 and the sambal roasted salmon is £17.95.

Mata started United's 3-2 defeat to Brighton but was substituted at half time as he was replaced by Marouane Fellaini.

On his blog, Mata expressed his frustration at the result. He wrote: 'Without doubt, it wasn’t a good Sunday and the motivation to write something isn’t really there.

'The journey back from Brighton was tough, as you can all imagine. Both for us and for everyone that was there to support us.

'Although things have only just begun and there is a long way to go, it always hurts to lose. A lot. We made mistakes and they penalised us for them.'

United have an opportunity to respond at Old Trafford on Monday when they take on Tottenham, who have won both of their games so far this season.

'We have to pick ourselves back up, improve and be positive, because there’s plenty still to come and feeling sorry for ourselves isn’t going to help anyone.

Mata will hope that he can retain his place in the starting lineup against Tottenham, although it wouldn't be surprising if manager Jose Mourinho made several alterations to his side.

Last season Mata scored three goals and provided seven assists in his 40 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Despite being able to operate out wide or as a central midfielder, Mata isn't guaranteed a regular place in the United starting lineup, although he is certainly a useful member of Mourinho's squad.
