A La Liga defender, represented by Juan Mata's father, is reportedly a January transfer target for Manchester United.
Real Valladolid centre-back Mohammed Salisu, 20, is being monitored by United according to El Diario De Valladolid.
The report (via Sport Witness), claims United, Norwich and Southampton have joined the battle to sign Salisu with fellow Premier League sides Everton and Newcastle United.
Salisu is yet to extend his contract at the Spanish club and the centre back, whose agent is Mata's father, is being tipped with a move to Old Trafford. United midfielder Mata is also represented by the same agency.
Ghanaian Salisu has one goal in 13 La Liga appearances this campaign after being promoted from the side's 'B' Team for the start of this season.

Jones is a good defender and defenders do make mistakes.otamendi has cost man city far more.. bravo has cost them far more. but their fans don't come out bashing these lads.. they move on.. the same way fans bashed smallings when it was obvious he made lindelof look better.. since he left lindelof has been terrible alongside McGuire.. and Jones was played in an awkward position in a tactic that didn't work alongside a young lad that didn't know what to do.. jones if he don't have any backing he could have put the ball away to throw in or a corner but he stayed with the ball and that cost us dearly..He is scared from the first minute doing some bad tackles which he normally won't try and made fouls from behind.. I'm sure ole learnt his lesson by starting him in PL match

because the problem was not defence but midfield.. Scott helped a lot and once United lost him.. the midfield was back to what it is .. lacking efficiency and creativity at least Scott gave efficiency.. Fred is a flop and should be sold..once we lost the midfield the defence is exposed again
