Mbappe, Alexander-Arnold, Donnarumma, Pulisic lead Kopa Trophy 10-man shortlist

France Football has announced the ten nominees for the inaugural Kopa trophy - the best under-21 player award.

KOPA TROPHY NOMINEES:

Houssem Aouar (Lyon, France)

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool, England)

Patrick Cutrone (AC Milan, Italy)

Ritsu Doan (Groningen, Japan)

Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan, Italy)

Amadou Haidara (Red Bull Salzburg, Mali)

Justin Kluivert (Roma, Netherlands)

Kylian Mbappe (PSG, France)

Christian Pulisic (Dortmund, USA)

Rodrygo (Santos, Brazil)

The Kopa Trophy, for the best under-21 player,  will be decided by votes from the 33 previous winners of the Ballon d'Or including, among others, Denis Law, Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Marco Van Basten, Zinedine Zidane, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
