Messi, Luis Suarez and Haaland lead New Year celebrations on social media

A number of football stars took to social media to share their New Year's Eve celebrations and send well wishes to supporters.

The likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Erling Haaland were all seen enjoying the final day of 2023 with family and friends before sharing pictures with their followers.

Argentina star Messi was seen with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their three children, as he posted the photos on Instagram with the caption: 'Feliz 2024 !!'.

The whole family had wide grins on their faces as they posed for the pictures prior to the start of the new year.

Meanwhile, Messi's new Inter Miami team-mate Luis Suarez took to the same platform to share pictures with his wife and three children.

The Uruguayan wrote a similar message to his team-mate's, which read: 'Happy 2024 everyone!'.

Earlier this month, Suarez became the latest superstar to land in South Florida, following former Barcelona teammates Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets to the club which is co-owned by David Beckham.

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland was spotted enjoying the new year festivities in Dubai alongside girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen.

The Norwegian striker was dressed in an all-black suit while Johansen opted for brown dress as they welcomed in the new year.

Another star who appeared to be enjoying the celebrations in Dubai was former Man United winger Jesse Lingard.

Lingard, who is currently without a club, took to Instagram to share a series of pictures of himself by the Burj Khalifa, as an impressive light and firework show took place.

In his caption, Lingard wrote: 'Happy new year! 2024 we coming' with a number of heart emojis accompanying the message.

Reports have claimed that Lingard has been offered to several clubs in France, but any move could reportedly be scuppered by Brexit rules.

Meanwhile, current Man United star Lisandro Martinez, also took to social media to celebrate 2024 with his followers, as he two images.

He wrote: 'Happy 2024!!! I wish you a full life this year, full of health, love and abundance'.

Belle Silva, wife of Chelsea star Thiago Silva, also shared pictures of their family enjoying a big party onto her Instagram story.

The couple and their two sons posed in all-white outfits with a big '2024' written behind them.

Silva's compatriot, Neymar Jr, also took to social media to share a selfie with his followers and wished them a happy new year.
