Messi: My brain thinks I'm 25, but my body tells me to be more careful

After winning the 2019 Golden Boot, Messi spoke exclusively to MARCA, revealing his thoughts on his injuries.

He was asked, "this year you have missed some games due to injury, how does it fit for your body to ask for more breaks?"

"It is difficult because your mind is fine. My brain thinks Messi is 25 years old and I can continue doing the same things at that age. But the body rules and there are circumstances in which you have to be more careful than before. Adapting to it requires a process and preparing differently for training and matches." Messi then answered.
